04/30/04....The 23 minute video of Kathy Johansson in bed was an unusal shoot for me. It was the last shoot from our LA to Las Vegas shoot. After 4 days together Kathy and I had become very good friends. I felt like brother and sister. Though I doubt my sister would pose for me like Kathy does. We were in Vegas and a couple of shoots with other women didn't come together so Kathy and I decided to shoot in the hotel room. I'm not sure what was going through her head or what she wanted for this video but there she was, naked in bed. I stripped the blankets off the bed so I'd have a white background and used the lamp lights from the bedroom and the light coming in from the bathroom to light the room. I wanted to have a very natural look to the video. I took off my shoes, climbed into the bed with Kathy and started shooting.

Shooting on a bed and keeping the camera still is not an easy thing to do. It's a real workout, holding the camera over my head, trying to keep the composition interesting and not falling on top of the model. Somewhere around 20 minutes into the video I lost my concentration for a moment and realized there was no sound in the room. I hadn't put on any music.  Kathy and I hadn't said a word since I began shooting. All I could hear was our breathing. I was breathing hard trying to keep my balance on the soft bed. Kathy was breathing hard because she was aroused. She had been touching herself for over 20 minutes and even while trying to be professional, she could only caress her body for so long before getting excited. I was getting warm myself. That's not something that happens often. I was worried the sweat dripping down my face would land on Kathy's naked body.

I began to bring the camera closer to Kathy.  I came in close to her face. I set the camera on her stomach and slowly pushed it along her body up to her breasts. Kathy wrapped her breasts around the lens.  It was hot. Her expressions were incredible.  I dragged the camera up and down along her body and then up over her breasts.  I lost track of where the camera was on her and caught the lens on her nipple as I slowly moved the camera up and over her breast. I knew I had touched her nipple by the twitch in her face. I could feel her sexual energy. Watching closely in the viewfinder, I began to lose track of reality. I only saw what the camera captured. Our breathing was in sync. In the camera it looked like I was slowly crawling up her body and she was reacting sensually to every movement I made. It was more than just a shoot but at the same time there was an invisible shield between us. Allowing us to safely discover our fantasies.

I haven't really talked to Kathy about what she felt. I'll have to film an interview of her talking about the shoot. Whatever. Kathy is a special woman and I love working together. I'd like to know what you think of the video and in the meantime, I'll see if I can get Kathy to write about her feelings too.
